A Quirky Cottage in the

Royal Burgh of Nairn

Newly Refurbished  in 2017

Nairn is a seaside town on the coast of the Moray Firth in the highlands of Scotland. Nairn boasts two championship golf courses, and is only 10 miles from Castle Stuart Golf Links.

Cuddle Cottage is a great base from which to experience the many attractions of the Highlands, Speyside and the Moray coast. Inverness is just half an hour away in the car.

As well as being the Brighton of the North due to its long sandy Blue Flag beaches and sunny micro-climate Nairn is a hub of activity. Annually visitors attend the Nairn Book and Arts Festival held during the second week of June. The community centre, which can be, accessed through Viewfield park hosts Cinema Nairn monthly, classical music evenings and comedy nights. There are weekly ceilidh nights in the local British legion too.

The highlight of the year is Games days with pipers, caber tossing and tug of war. This is held in the third week of August. The farming community look forward to The Nairn Farmer’s Show, held in Auldearn usually on the last Saturday in July.

Nairn’s two golf courses are by the Moray Firth so golfers can enjoy amazing views whilst they enjoy their round at either The Nairn Golf Club or the Nairn Dunbar Club. Castle Stuart is only ten miles down the road. If golf is your focus of your break Cuddle Cottage is a great base because there are another 30 golf courses within an hours drive of it, including Carrbridge, Cruden Bay, Elgin, Forres and Royal Dornoch.

It is difficult to fit in all the things there are to do either in or close to Nairn – distillery trips (for example the Royal Brakla in Cawdor) or Tarzan trails at Landmark. Riding horses in Culbin Forest or bikes in Delnies Woods. Historical trips to Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield or Brodie Castle, not forgetting Dolphin watching in the Moray Firth or people watching in Inverness City.
